The Chicago
Connectory has been closed for around a month due to the statewide stay-at home
order but our incredible members and community have found ways to stay engaged
virtually! Over the past month, we've hosted different
virtual workshops, webinars, and lectures.
On March 26th,
Chicago Connectory member Moonshot
by Pactera EDGE hosted
part three of their Design Sprints workshop virtually. Their past Design
Sprints sessions were hands-on and collaborating; they were able to recreate
this hands-on feeling using different digital products. Using Zoom as their
conferencing platform they were able to host over 100 participants. In addition
to Zoom, the team used MURAL, an online platform for virtual
collaboration and team activities. Mike Kim, Practice Lead of Digitalization and Sandy Jachs, Client Partner moderated the session switching between
the two platforms to keep their audience engaged and actively participating.
In addition to
workshops, the Connectory continues to host member-exclusive events for our
community. On April 2nd, Chordant presented their data sharing solution
exclusively to our members. The presentation gave an in-depth overview of the
platform and the value it brings to teams working on data-centric projects.
Because our community is centered around IoT with many members focused on
mobility, Vanja Subotic, lead of Strategic Partnerships and Marketing,
emphasized Chordant's solutions for connected and autonomous mobility and
complex infrastructure and facilities data sharing.
The Connectory
continues to provide IoT education to the Chicago tech-community and now - beyond!
David Castillo, Bosch IoT Cloud Consultant, has continued
hosting his IoT Foundation Series virtually. This four-part session focuses on
general IoT knowledge and the AWS platform. After completing the series
participants will have foundational knowledge and skills within AWS IoT and
hands-on experience with a broad range of topics, such as telemetry, command
and control, and analytics.
Although we're
eager to (safely) return to the Chicago Connectory, we're thankful for our team,
community, and anyone virtually engaging with the Connectory! We hope to
continue offering exciting and interesting virtual events for our community and beyond.
